The Medical Assistant prepares patients for visits by collecting vital signs and medical histories while performing simple lab tests. They also maintain clinical environments, manage patient portal communications, and assist providers with non-nursing procedures.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED and Basic Life Support certification, with a Medical Assistant certification preferred. Candidates must possess basic computer skills and may substitute certification with specific nursing education or related healthcare experience.

The Medical Assistant assists the providers by preparing patients to be seen by collecting and recording necessary data for health, weight, medication and allergies, performs simple lab tests such as urine dipstick, takes and records temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure, performs vision testing, assists providers with simple procedures and other related duties. Duties/hours are split between Primary Care and Pediatrics Dept.

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement.
When determining actual base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g. location, years of relevant experience, education, training, and other factors as permissible by law). As such, most offers will not be at the top of the salary range.
*$1000. Sign On Bonus offered, $500 on hire and $500 after 90 days in good standing, former employees of HHSI not eligible.
Hours will include evening and weekend (Saturday) rotation Full Time, 40 hours weekly
