The technologist arranges patients for radiological examinations and produces x-ray images to assist in medical diagnoses. They are responsible for following imaging protocols and providing pre- and post-procedure education to patients and their families.
Candidates must have completed two years of clinical training in an AMA approved program and hold a post-high school vocational qualification. Required certifications include ARRT and a current Louisiana Registered Radiologic license (LSRT), along with BLS certification.
